We, the undersigned citizens of the Northwest islands of Namonweito, Pafeng, and Pattiw, pledge our support for the RHUULAP NORTHWEST 2013 coalition with the goal of uniting leaders and creating peace among people during the 2013 congressional elections.

We believe that the election process in the Northwest region has caused painful divisions among our families, our clans, our churches, and among our leaders because politicians use campaign tactics that divide our people.

We respectfully urge our political, traditional, and church leaders to show us compassionate leadership by working together rather than against each other, to work together in finding solutions for educational reform, health care, job opportunities for the youth, cultural preservation, leadership development, and the other pressing issues of our region as expressed on the RHUULAP NORTHWEST 2013 website: www.vidraatior.com.

By signing our names on this petition, we are pledging our support for peace in our region and respectfully urge our leaders to join our coalition, to work with us to reunify the Northwest region through a peaceful election in 2013.

OVERVIEW: The congressional election process has created painful divisions among the peace-loving families, tribes, and churches in the outer islands of Pattiw, Pafeng, and Namonweito by having politicians campaign against each other and creating divisions among our people. The petition is a way to show our politicians that citizens are united for peace and prosperity in the Northwest. Our goal is to collect names of Northwest citizens overseas and at home who support the RHUULAP NORTHWEST campaign and present our petition (see below) to the politicians who wish to run for the seat. We believe that our politicians will honor the voices of the people if we give them a signed petition asking them to join us rather than oppose us in the 2013 elections.
